Abstract :
Physical symptoms are common complaints among teenagers, and emotional factors play an important role in the occurrence and exacerbation of physical symptoms. Therefore, the aim of the research is to investigate the role of self-differentiation, perceived emotional invalidation in the symptoms of physical symptoms disorder. The current research is a type of correlation design. The statistical population consists of all the students of the second secondary school in Khoy city, 265 of whom were selected in a multi-stage cluster. Data using physical symptom experience questionnaires (SSEQ); Perceived emotional invalidation (PIES) and short version of self-differentiation (DSI-Sf) were collected and analyzed after entering into SPSS using correlation coefficient test and stepwise regression. The results of the present study showed that between the symptoms of physical symptoms disorder with perceived emotional invalidation (0.46), emotional reactivity (0.51), mixing with others (0.42), emotional cutting (0/32) and my position (0/28) there is a significant correlation at the 0/05 level. The results of stepwise regression analysis showed that perceived emotional invalidation, emotional reactivity and integration with others predict 52% of changes in physical symptoms disorder, which is significant at the 0.05 level. The results showed the role of lack of emotional understanding and lack of differentiation in the symptoms of physical symptoms disorder, it is suggested that teenagers should be given the necessary training in the field of emotional expression and differentiation so that they do not suppress their emotional experiences and express them physically.
