The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of psychological flexibility in the relationship between emotional inadequacy and tendency to risky behaviors in adolescents. The descriptive research method was of the correlation type (structural equation model). The statistical population included the teenagers of Shahrood city in 2023, out of which 300 people were selected by available sampling method. The tools used in this research included risk-taking questionnaires of Iranian teenagers, emotional deficiency and psychological flexibility questionnaire. In order to analyze the research model, the structural equation model was used the findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional inadequacy and the tendency to risky behaviors, and psychological flexibility plays a mediating role in the relationship between emotional insufficiency and the tendency to risky behaviors. Overall, the results showed that the model had a good fit. According to the obtained results, emotional inadequacy and psychological flexibility play an important role in predicting high-risk behaviors of adolescents. Emotional inadequacy and lack of psychological flexibility can increase the incidence and persistence of high-risk behaviors, including drug use, in teenagers. Therefore, the design of interventions based on improving emotional inadequacy and increasing psychological flexibility is suggested as a basis for reducing the high-risk behaviors of this group of people.
Manuscript profile

The results indicated a good fit of the model with the data and the significance of the direct effect of the perception of the classroom environment on wisdom, boredom, and academic incivility, as well as mindfulness on wisdom and academic incivility. The indirect effect of mindfulness and perception of the classroom environment on academic boredom with the mediating role of wisdom was also statistically significant. Based on this, it can be concluded that in order to reduce the boredom and academic incivility of students, it is necessary to pay attention to the wisdom resulting from the perception of the classroom environment and their mindfulness.
Manuscript profile

Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that causes failure in communication, social interaction and stereotyped behaviors. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of sensory-motor integration exercises on balance performance in children with autism spectrum disorder. The quasi-experimental research design was pre-test and post-test with a control group. The statistical population of the research was all the students of Rasht who were studying in the academic year of 1402-1403. The sample consisted of 30 children (boys and girls) who were selected by the available sampling method and based on the entry and exit criteria of the study and randomly assigned to two groups of 15 people. The children of the experimental group were subjected to an intervention with a package of sensory-motor integration exercises for 12 sessions of 45 minutes, while the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed by multivariate and univariate covariance analysis methods in SPSS 25 software. The research findings showed that sensory-motor integration exercises improve balance performance in children with autism spectrum disorder (P<0.001). In general, it can be said that the desired intervention has improved the child's deficiency in balance performance by affecting the improvement of sensory coherence and eliminating the problems related to less or more sensitivity than the sensory limit; Therefore, it is suggested to use the intervention program used in this research to improve the balance performance of children with autism spectrum disorder.
Manuscript profile

Considering the prevalence of infertility and the increase in child adoption in Iran, and given the needs of children and adolescents for having appropriate families, this research intended to identify the psychological problems faced by Iranian families adopting children and offer solutions for them to adapt themselves to these problems as a step in enhancing the well-being of the adopted children and of the families adopting them. The descriptive method and the systematic grounded theory introduced by Strauss and Corbin were used in this study. In the first step, interviews were held in 2022 with 13 adoptive families to identify their problems. In the second step, interviews were held with experts. They offered their proposed solutions for the adaptation. The research was done by observing ethical principles and validation, using MAXQDA2020. Four concepts were extracted in the problem identification step: the legal-psychological problems, and the problems related to the growth of the child in an environment of social harms, to attitude and worldview, and to resilience of the adoptive couple. From the second step, solutions were extracted: explanation of the what and how and why related to adoption in Iran, implementation solutions for solving the problems, intervention solutions for enhancing family resilience, and solutions for changing attitudes. It was found that the problems related to attitude and worldview constituted the causal conditions of other problems. In conclusion, the final model was presented. Enriching knowledge, improving attitudes, increasing parents' resilience, removing implementation obstacles, should be prioritized.
Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive emotion regulation training on self-esteem and self-awareness of female students with emotional failure. The method of this research was practical and semi-experimental in which a pretest-posttest design was used with a control group. The target population of this research was 22 female students of Hekmat Razavi Institute of Higher Education who had emotional failure, selected by voluntary sampling and were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group received training during ten 90-minute sessions, while the control group did not undergo any intervention. Ras Love Shock Questionnaire (1999) was used to screen the subjects, and Cooper Smith's self-esteem questionnaire (1967) and Cooper Smith's self-awareness questionnaire (1997) were used in the pre-test and post-test. The findings of this research showed that cognitive emotion regulation training significantly increased self-esteem and self-awareness in the experimental group compared to the control group (p<0.05). Cognitive emotion regulation training is a suitable method to increase self-esteem and emotional self-awareness in people who have suffered emotional failure and can be used as an intervention based on empirical evidence.
Manuscript profile
