The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of attentive rehabilitation of attention and memory (ARAM) on phonological working memory span and expressive and receptive language development in cochlear implant deaf children. This study was a quasi -experimental design with a pretest- posttest design with a control group and one momnth follow-up. Participants were 16 cochlear implanted children aged 6 to 8/9 years in exceptional elementary schools of Ahwaz in 2018- 2019 school year that were been selected with an available sampling method and randomly replaced in the experimental and control groups. Each group was include 8 person and both groups were evaluated by Wechsler Memory Scale subtest and Told-p: 3 (Persian version) in the same condition. The experimental group received 8 sessions and each session lasts for 45 minutes per a month of ARAM and the control group did not received any training. Both groups were evaluated again at the end of intervention and 1 month after that. Data analyzed with mixed analysis of variance (2×3). Phonological working memory span and expressive and receptive language development scores of children who received the ARAM was improved significantly rather than they who did not received that. In the present study, the mediating role of self-compassion in the relationship between perfectionism and eudaimonic well-being was investigated. To do so, 210 Master students from Shiraz University were selected through multistage random cluster sampling method. Participants answered to Almost-Perfect-Scale-Revised, (Slaney et al, 2001), Self-Compassion Scale (Neff, 2003), and Eudaimonic Well-being Scale (Waterman et al, 2010). Data were analyzed using path analysis through Amos software. Results showed that standard component (as adaptive perfectionism) has a positive effect, and discrepancy component (as maladaptive perfectionism) has a negative effect on eudaimonic well-being. Self-compassion showed a mediating role in the relationship between discrepancy component of perfectionism and eudaimonic well-being. In the base of these results, self-compassion can be considered as a buffer against the negative impact of maladaptive perfectionism on eudaimonic well-being. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to present a conceptual model and test it for communication skills based on anger rumination and alexithymia. The method of this study was descriptive and the population of this study included all students of the Hamedan in the academic year 1397-1398, among these students, 270 subjects were selected through an accessible sampling method. The research tools included Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20, Communication Skills Scale, and Anger Rumination Scale. The relationships between variables were examined by the structural equation modeling. Results showed that the alexithymia had a direct correlation with anger rumination and communication skills dissatisfaction and has indirect relationship with communication skills through anger rumination. Anger rumination also had a direct relation with communication skills. In general, communication skills were influenced by emotions in relationships. There was a negative correlation with the anger rumination and alexithymia and these variables can have a role in reducing the amount of communication skills of individuals by affecting interpersonal interactions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychometric properties of the new scale of the Dark tetrad scale. The research method was survey and the statistical population consisted of all students who educated at Mohaghegh Ardabili University during 2017-2018. A sample of 600 individuals (300 females and 300 male) were selected through a multistage cluster sampling method. Data from 30 individuals were excluded due to a defect in completing the questionnaire. To collect data, Assessment Sadistic Personality Scale (Plouffe et al., 2017), Dark Triad Scale (JoneS & Paulhus, 2014), Emotional Intelligence Test (Bradbury-Graves, 2005) and Short Form of the NEO Questionnaire (Costa, McCray, 1989) were used. In order to examine the reliability of the questionnaire, the internal consistency coefficient was used and also the validity of the questionnaire was assessed by divergent validity, exploratory factor analysis and first-order confirmatory factor analysis. All analysis was done using SPSS-25 and LISREL 8.8. The results of the internal consistency coefficient showed that this scale had the appropriate reliability (Cronbach's alpha coefficient for Machiavellianism was 0.82, narcissism 0.86, psychopathy 0.79 and sadism 0.77). Confirmatory Factor Fitness Indexes also show the appropriate validity of the scale (CFI = 0.95, RFI = 0.96, NNFI = 0.93, RMSEA = 0/060). Therefore, it can be said that this scale is an appropriate instrument for measuring the dark aspects of personality. Manuscript profile
