The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of positive and negative affect in the relationship between meaning in life and mental health. The sample consisted of 337 students (153 males and 184 females) from University of Tehran at three levels: BA, MA and PHD. Participants are chosen by available sampling. The students answered the Crumbaugh Maholick (1964) Meaning of Life Questionnaire, Veit and Ware (1983) Mental Health Inventory and Watson et al (1988) Positive and Negative Affect Schedule. For analyzing data, we used some indexes such as Frequency, Percent, Standard deviation, Pearson correlation test and for proving the mediating role, we used Pathway analysis. The results showed a significant positive and negative relationship between meaning in life and psychological well-being as well as psychological distress. The Pathway analysis showed that positive and negative affect has mediating role in the relationship between meaning in life and mental health. According to the result, it can be concluded that, attention to meaning in life and improve it in students life lead to increasing positive affect and as a result can influence mental health and decrease expression of negative affect and psychological distress level. The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between attachment styles (secure, insecure) and psychological well-being, mediated by the role of cognitive flexibility. This research was a correlational study. A total of 272 participants were selected by means of multistage cluster sampling among Shiraz university undergraduate students. The data were gathered by using 3 measures: Adult Attachment Scale (Collins & Reid,1996), Scale Psychological Well-Being (Ryff, 1989) and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (Dennis & Vander Wal, 2010). Using Pearson's correlation coefficient and path analysis with software, SPSS 20 and Amos 22, the data were analyzed. The results of path analysis indicated that the model had a good fit to the data. The secure attachment styles had a significant positive direct effect on psychological well-being. And insecure (avoidance, ambivalence) attachment style had a significant negative direct effect on psychological well-being. Also attachment style had predicted psychological well-being stronger by mediating cognitive flexibility. The results of the prediction showed that, when people with a secure attachment style have more cognitive flexibility, they experience a higher psychological well-being. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed at investigating the mediating role of mindfulness in the relationship between depression, anxiety, stress and psychological well-being. Current study is a descriptive study. A total of 198 (137 female and 61 male) participants completed the paper-and-pencil form of Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS), Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) and Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale. The mediating role of mindfulness was explored using the PROCESS v3.0 plugin for SPSS. The results revealed that mindfulness significantly (p<0.01) mediated the relationship between 1) anxiety and total well-being, 2) anxiety and mastery as well as depression and master, and 3) all three independent variables and self-growth. Data also showed that, regarding some emotional disturbances (i.e., anxiety), trait mindfulness could prove similarly effective with both low and high emotionality, while with respect to other difficulties (i.e., depression) it will only foster psychological well-being when negative affectivity level is only low or moderate. The research had a correlational design on the type of predictive study. The population was all of the employees of Markazi Province Electeric Distribution Company in years of 2015-16, that 396 persons of them were selected by stratified random sampling based on their job conditions, and were examined. For collecting the data, the Workplace Spirituality Scale, Resilience Scale and Psychological Well-being Scale, were performed, and the acquired data were analyzed by pearson correlation coefficient and simultaneous multiple regression. The findings indicated that the workplace spirituality and resilience with a direct and significant relationship, explained about 14 percent of variance of psychological well-being of employees that in this context resilience had significant proportion in predicting of psychological wellbeing and its, factors, but the workplace spirituality had significant proportion only in predicting the factor of self-acceptance. As a result, it can be said that workplace spirituality and resilience have a significant role in psychological well-being. Manuscript profile

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between child characteristics (behavioral problems and social skills) with the psychological well-being of mothers of students with intellectual disabilities with the mediating role of maternal mindfulness. The study was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population included students with intellectual disabilities in primary schools with intellectual disability in Golestan province, in the academic year 2019-2020, and their mothers. 298 students (out of 878 students) were selected by cluster sampling. The instruments used in the study were: The Children,s The Rutter Children,s behavior questionnaire (1967), Matson’s social skills scale (1983), Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (2006), and Ryff Psychological Wellbeing Scale (1980). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test and structural equation modeling, using SPSS23 and AMOS23 statistical software. The results showed a significant positive correlation between social skills and mindfulness with psychological well-being. There was also a significant negative correlation between behavioral problems and psychological well-being. In addition, the mediating role of mindfulness in the relationship between child characteristics (behavioral problems and social skills) with psychological well-being was confirmed (P <0.01). From the research findings, it is inferred that by reducing the behavioral problems and increasing the social skills of students in schools, it is possible to improve the psychological well-being of their mothers. The aim of the present study is to compare the relationship between primary maladaptive schemas and psychological well-being and the mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation strategies in two groups of teenagers with and without a history of divorce. The descriptive research method is of the correlation type and based on the applied goal. The statistical population of the research included all teenage girls in the second secondary school in Tehran in the academic year 1400-1401. 300 students were selected to complete the questionnaires using random cluster sampling. The research tools included Rijekboar and Debo Children's Schema Questionnaire (SIC), Garnefsky and Kraij's Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies Questionnaire (CERQ) and Riff's Psychological Well-Being Scale (RSPWB). Structural equation modeling method and SPSS-24 and Amos-24 software were used for data analysis. The findings showed that the relationship between initial maladaptive schemas and psychological well-being is negative and significant. Also, the relationship between primary maladaptive schemas and positive strategies for cognitive regulation of emotion is negative and significant, and the relationship between primary maladaptive schemas and negative strategies for cognitive regulation of emotion is positive and significant. The relationship between positive emotion regulation strategies and psychological well-being is positive and significant. Inconsistent schemas have an inverse and significant effect on psychological well-being through positive cognitive regulation strategies (β=-0.2, p<0.001). Manuscript profile
