  The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling "Narrative therapy" on family functioning among women with addicted husbands. Present research was an experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design along with follow up 1 month and 3 month. Participants were 44 persons of the 10 region of Tehran who had family functioning score lower than the mean of statistical population. They were selected based on the voluntary sampling procedure, and were also randomly assigned to two groups, experimental and control. After the early loss, each group was include 20 persons and is evaluated by Family Assessment Device (FAD) after doing interview in the same condition. The experimental group received 10 sessions of group counseling "Narrative therapy" and the control group did not received any intervention. Both groups were evaluated again at the end of intervention, 1 month and also 3 month after that. Data analyzed with repeated measure analysis of variance and Bonferroni post-hoc test. Family functioning the (problem solving, communication, roles, affective responsiveness, affective involvement, behavior control and general functioning) of women who received the sessions of group counseling "Narrative therapy" was improved significantly rather than they who did not received that.   This study investigated the mediating role of resilience on the relationship between family communication patterns (including conversation orientation and conformity orientation) and motivational regulation (including interest enhancement, self-consequating, environmental control, mastery self-talk and performance self- talk). Participants were 572 high school students (290 boys and 282 girls) in Shiraz city selected through multistage cluster sampling method. Structural equation modeling using AMOS software revealed that conversation orientation and conformity orientation can positively predict motivational regulation. However conversation orientation was much stronger than conformity orientation. Conformity orientation predicted motivational regulation directly but the association between conversation orientation and motivational regulation was indirect and mediated by resilience.   The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between work-family conflict with psychological strain and life satisfaction, considering the moderating role of recovery of work. Parties pants are employees of Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company that one hundred forty three individuals were selected by stratified random sampling method. Data were gathered by Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson, Kacmar& Williams, 2000), Recovery of Work Questionnaire (Sonnentag, & Fritz, 2007), General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg, 1972) and Life Satisfaction Scale (Diener, Emmons, Larsen & Griffin). Results indicated that work-family conflict had positively correlation with psychological strain and had negatively correlation with life satisfaction. Results also revealed that recovery of work moderated the relationship of work-family conflict with psychological strain and life satisfaction and positive correlation between work-family conflict and psychological strain and negative correlation work-family conflict and life satisfaction at individual with great recovery of work is weaker.   Feelings of inferiority are important concepts in measuring overall health that can always be affected by individual and family factors . The propose of this study the mediating role of family functioning to resilience and of inferiority.The purpose of this study was fundamental and in terms of descriptive method of structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of all Razi University . Using available sampling 200 people were selected as the statistical sample. In order to collect data using the Inferiority scale(IS),Conner and Davidson Resiliency Questionnaire (CD-RIS) and family Assessment device-Interve(FDA-I). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean and standard deviation) by Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling using SPSS-25 and AMOS-24 software.The results showed that direct paths resilience to inferiority, resilience to Family function, Family function to inferiority, and indirect pathways to resilience to inferiority were mediating by Family function, significant(p<0/10). The results of this study emphasize the importance of mediating role of Family function in Relation between resilience and inferiority. It can be hoped that by providing training based on Reinforcement family functioning, the damage caused by the lack of resilience will lead to inferiority. Manuscript profile

  The present study aimed to qualitatively analyze family experiences of psychiatric veterans. Research method of this research was qualitative method with phenomenological descriptive approach. For this purpose, 16 Psychiatric veterans were selected through purposive sampling and were interviwed by semi-structured interview. Sampling continued until data saturation. The data were analyzed using 7 stage Colaizzi method. The data analysis resulted in 3 main themes, 8 subthemes and 42 initial concepts. As the fisrt theme, “changes in the family framework” consisted of (1- changes in process of family life, 2- relative changes of power position, 3- occupational changes). The second main theme was “family relationships” consisted of (1- relationship with wife, 2- relationship with child) and the third theme was “adaptation” consisted of (1- psychologic interventions, 2- personal intervention, 3- family suppport). Rusults showed that psychiatric veterans experience a great deal of vulnerability in different fields because of their special situations. And the necessity of more awareness among relevant organizations, the more support of them and their families, and the formulation of more counseling, psychological and caring programs are felt.   The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of domestic violence, marital conflict, self-esteem and resilience in the relationship between family cohesion and parent abuse in first and second grade male and female high school students in Shahrekord. The statistical population of this study was all male and female high school students in Shahrekord and their mothers, 779 of whom were selected by convenience sampling. Instruments in this study were Parent Abuse Scale (PAP-bv), Parent Abuse Scale (PAP-gm), Child Exposure to Domestic Violence (VCED), Parental Marital Conflict Scale (PMCS), Samani Family Cohesion Questionnaire (SFC) Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RIS). The model evaluation was made by path analysis method. The results of correlation coefficients showed that there were significant positive correlations between domestic violence and marital conflict and parent abuse, and that there were significant negative correlations between family cohesion, self-esteem and resilience and parent abuse. The final model showed good fitness. The results of path analysis showed that family cohesion has a direct and indirect effect on parent abuse through domestic violence, marital conflict, self-esteem and resilience. Manuscript profile

  Children with Down syndrome have significant limitations in various areas of their lives. Among these, daily living skills are among the areas that are important for the success of these children in living. However, a review of research evidence suggests that effective interventions such as family-based empowerment programs, have been less studied in this area. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of family-based sensory-motor empowerment program on daily living skills of students with Down syndrome. The research design was semi-experimental (pretest-posttest with a control group). The population consisted of all students with Down syndrome in Kashan city in the year 2021-2022. The sample consisted of 30 students aged 8-12 years who were selected by convenience sampling method and assigned to two groups (15 experiment & 15 control). The tool included Wayland Social Development Test (1980). MANCOVA was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experiment and control groups in terms of all components of daily living skills (p <0.01). As a conclusion, we can suggest the family-based sensory-motor empowerment program as a suitable intervention to improve the daily living skills of students with Down syndrome. Manuscript profile

  The aim of this study is considering the method of facing the religious families toward identical confliction statuses. 30 families (including 30 parents and 30 children) were selected. At the first step, modern, religious and national identity questionnaires were applied. At the second step, participants were asked to grade these three conflicted positions: 1. Levels of tension 2. How much this feeling are logical 3. How much the others are right. The result revealed that there is no difference between young and adult generations in the religious and national identity, but there are significant disagreements in national and modern identity.   The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between family communication patterns and academic vitality: the mediating role of self-regulated learning strategies. The research method was correlation and structural equations. Participants in this study were 240 ninth grade male students in Behbahan, who were selected by multi-stage (relative) random sampling. The instruments used in this study were a revised version of the Fitzpatrick and Ritchie family communication patterns, the Martin and Marsh Vital Life Questionnaire, and the Pintrich and De Groot self-regulatory, cognitive, and metacognitive learning strategies scale. Confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used to evaluate the validity and reliability of these instruments. The evaluation of the proposed model was performed using the structural equation method. Bootstrap method was used to test indirect relationships. The results showed that the direction of dialogue has a direct positive and significant relationship with academic vitality and self-regulated learning strategies. Also, the orientation of dialogue with academic vitality through self-regulated learning strategies has a significant indirect relationship. But compliance orientation was not directly related to academic vitality and self-regulated learning strategies and this relationship was indirectly insignificant with the mediation of self-regulated learning strategies (cognitive and metacognitive) with academic vitality. Finally, self-regulated learning strategies have a significant relationship with academic vitality. Better fit of the model was achieved by eliminating non-significant paths of compliance orientation to academic vitality and compliance orientation to self-regulated learning strategies (cognitive and metacognitive).   The development of technology and consequently the Internet has had a different impact on family relationships and adolescence' sense of self-worth. The present study aims to determine the relationship between family intimacy and self-esteem by mediating role of internet addiction. The research procedure used in this study is based on the descriptive-correlational method. The target population in this study was all adolescences studying in high school that 252 people of them were selected as the sample by available sampling. They completed Young’s Internet Addiction Test (1998), Thompson and Walker Intimacy Questionnaire (1983) and Rosenberg Self-esteem (1965). Path analysis method, Pearson correlation test and AMOS and SPSS software were used to analyze the data. The results of regression analysis indicated that: a) family intimacy was the positive and significant predictor of self-esteem, b) the family intimacy was negative and significant predictor of self-esteem, and c) the internet addiction mediated the relationship between family intimacy and self-esteem. Based on the present results, it can be suggested that one of ways of enhancing self-esteem are to increase family intimacy. Training students for correct use internet can also be effective.
