The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling "Narrative therapy" on family functioning among women with addicted husbands. Present research was an experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design along with follow up 1 month and 3 month. Participants were 44 persons of the 10 region of Tehran who had family functioning score lower than the mean of statistical population. They were selected based on the voluntary sampling procedure, and were also randomly assigned to two groups, experimental and control. After the early loss, each group was include 20 persons and is evaluated by Family Assessment Device (FAD) after doing interview in the same condition. The experimental group received 10 sessions of group counseling "Narrative therapy" and the control group did not received any intervention. Both groups were evaluated again at the end of intervention, 1 month and also 3 month after that. Data analyzed with repeated measure analysis of variance and Bonferroni post-hoc test. Family functioning the (problem solving, communication, roles, affective responsiveness, affective involvement, behavior control and general functioning) of women who received the sessions of group counseling "Narrative therapy" was improved significantly rather than they who did not received that. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between risk perception and cognitive emotion regulation with tendency to addiction by mediating decision-making styles. This research was a descriptive and a correlational study. To this end, 320 students from the Department of Banking and Payam of Noor University of Bijar city were selected by random sampling method. Data were collected using Risk Perception Index, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, Zargars Addiction Tendency Questionnaire and Scott and Bruce's Decision-Making Styles. Questionnaire. In order to evaluate the proposed model, Amos software and path analyze method were used. The findings showed that there was a negative significant relationship between risk perception and positive cognitive emotion regulation directly with the tendency to addiction and negative cognitive emotion regulation have a positive significant relationship with the tendency to addiction. Also, decision-making style indirectly influenced the predictive value of the variables. Overall, the results showed that decision-making style had a significant mediating role in the relationship between risk perception and cognitive emotion regulation with tendency to addiction. This study aimed to determine the psychometric properties of the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) in a sample of 208 Iranians. The convenience sampling method was employed to select individuals with smartphones living in Tehran. The participants completed the SAS and Young’s Internet Addiction Test (IAT). Construct validity and convergence validity were employed to analyze the scale validity, whereas the retest method and Cronbach’s alpha were adopted to evaluate its reliability. According to the confirmatory factor analysis results of evaluating the construct validity and the SAS structure, the research data are consistent with the model. In other words, the fitting indices were within an appropriate range, and the SAS had a factor structure with six subscales. Therefore, the construct validity of the SAS was confirmed. Moreover, its convergence validity was confirmed with Young’s IAT (r= 0.75). The retest correlation coefficient (r= 0.93) and Cronbach’s alpha for internal consistency (α= 0.92) confirmed the reliability of the scale. Therefore, the 33-item SAS had acceptable psychometric properties in six scales. It can be used as a valid and reliable tool to analyze an Iranian population. Manuscript profile

The aim of the present study was the study of mediating role of early maladaptive schemas in the relationship between parental bonding and addiction talent in Bu- Ali Sina University students. The population of this study consists of all arrival undergraduate students( 94-95 academic year) in Bu-Ali Sina University, 322(male and female) students were selected as a sample. Three questionnaire used: Parental Bonding questionnaire( PBI), Maladaptive schema questionnaire short form(SQ-SF) and addiction talent questionnaire students version( ASQ-SV). SPSS and LISREL software was used to analyze the data collected. The results showed that parental bonding( parental low care and overprotection) either directly or indirectly with mediating of early maladaptive schemas impact on addiction talent. Finally, in this research the mediating role of early maladaptive schemas in the relationship between parental bonding and addiction talent was presented as a model. Manuscript profile

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of emotional control in the relationship between basic psychological needs and the tendency to use drugs in students. The current research was carried out by correlation type and using the statistical method of structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the present study was all secondary school students of Noord city in the academic year of 1401-1400; And the research sample included 250 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. The questionnaires that were considered to collect information from the sample group were: Substance Abuse Propensity Questionnaire (IAPS), Basic Psychological Needs Questionnaire (BSNQ; Guardia, Desi and Ryan, 2000), Emotional Control Scale (ECQ2) by Roger and Nashover (1987). Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used for statistical analysis of data. The results showed that basic psychological needs have an effect on the tendency to use drugs both directly and indirectly through emotional control. In general, according to the results, it can be said that emotional control plays a mediating role in the relationship between basic psychological needs and the tendency to use drugs in students. Adolescents are heavily influenced by social and cultural changes that are exposed to harmful environmental stimuli such as addictive; Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the causal model of adolescent vulnerability to addiction based on the sensitivity of sensory processing and brain-behavioral systems with the mediation of childhood trauma in the city of Mashhad. The present study was a descriptive correlation in terms of its practical purpose and the method of data collection. The statistical population of the research was all secondary school students of the second year of Mashhad in the academic year of 1402-1401. 228 students were selected by cluster sampling method. In order to collect data, Enisi's questionnaires for identifying people at risk of addiction, Aron's and Aron's sensory processing sensitivity, Carver's and White's brain-behavioral systems, and Bernstein et al.'s trauma questionnaire were used. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling method and SPSS27 and Lisrel8.8 software. The results of the research showed that the sensitivity variables of sensory processing and behavioral brain systems have a direct and significant effect on vulnerability to addiction. The results related to the fit indices of the model also showed that childhood trauma can mediate the sensitivity of sensory processing and behavioral brain systems with vulnerability to addiction. The development of technology and consequently the Internet has had a different impact on family relationships and adolescence' sense of self-worth. The present study aims to determine the relationship between family intimacy and self-esteem by mediating role of internet addiction. The research procedure used in this study is based on the descriptive-correlational method. The target population in this study was all adolescences studying in high school that 252 people of them were selected as the sample by available sampling. They completed Young’s Internet Addiction Test (1998), Thompson and Walker Intimacy Questionnaire (1983) and Rosenberg Self-esteem (1965). Path analysis method, Pearson correlation test and AMOS and SPSS software were used to analyze the data. The results of regression analysis indicated that: a) family intimacy was the positive and significant predictor of self-esteem, b) the family intimacy was negative and significant predictor of self-esteem, and c) the internet addiction mediated the relationship between family intimacy and self-esteem. Based on the present results, it can be suggested that one of ways of enhancing self-esteem are to increase family intimacy. Training students for correct use internet can also be effective.
